Important Announcement from TN Govt.

National Institute of Open School (NIOS) is a scheme of Minsitry of Human Resource Developement (MHRD) of Government of India, which provides opportunity for the students who could not continue their studies in regular system due to obvious reasons.
It is an Open Schooling Board in India till Senior Secondary Classes.
The students can select 6 subjects from the 18 available subjects.
Besides, there are flexibility in this scheme at Secondary (X Std) and Senior Secondary (XII) as detailed below viz.
a) Choice of Courses
b) learning process
c) Transfer of Credit from one Scheme to other
d) 9 Chances to clear the exam within 5 years
e) Option of Science subjects with Practicals.

Earlier announcement in December 2023

It was announced by State Govt of Tamil Nadu in Decemeber 2023, that NIOS Certificates are not equivalent to the certificates issued by State Board.  This became the constraint to NIOS Candidate to continue their studies and to get jobs of Tamil Nadu Government.

Good Justice by TN Governement

It is now announced by School Education Department of Tamil Nadu State, that NIOS students are eligible for jobs in Tamil Nadu.
Thanks to the State Govt of TN for this announcement, to give great opportunity for NIOS candidates.
